Billie Faiers slams This Morning's Phillip Schofield as 'rude' after awkward TV interview

Billie Faiers has branded Phillip Schofield "rude" following an awkward interview on This Morning earlier this year.

The former Only Way is Essex star was interviewed on the ITV show alongside sister Sam in March following her spectacular Maldives wedding to partner Greg Shepherd.

The 57-year-old presenter, who was speaking to the reality stars alongside co-host Holly Willoughby, suggested that she had paid a staggering £229,000 for accommodation for the luxury ceremony.

Now, in an exclusive chat with OK! Magazine , Billie has hit back at the uncomfortable moment she was quizzed on the cost of her nuptials and slammed Schofe for his line of questioning.

The 29-year-old told the publication: "I was in shock. Prior to our appearance, I’d been very clear that I don’t talk about money. It’s rude and it’s nobody’s business but ours."

Billie's husband Greg added: "We should ask Phillip Schofield how much he earns!"

To which the mum-of-two said: "They were trying to insinuate that we got the wedding for free, which is so far from the truth. We saved for our wedding for years."

During the interview, Phillip commented: "This is the Kuramathi Resort in the Maldives. So we had a look, if you were to stay there next Saturday it would be £650 a night, that would be £4,588 for a week for the superior beach villa.

"The whole week for a 100 guests, £229,000. So you must have got a deal there. £229,000 for your wedding?"

At the time, Billie and 28-year-old Sam laughed off the comments.

"Not much of a deal," Sam replied but Schofe pushed further questioning: "£229 grand for your wedding?"

On the total, Billie said: "No it wasn't quite that."

Not giving in, the Oldham-born TV star grilled Billie further after claiming she didn't get a discount, saying: "Right, so they did give you a deal?"
