Billie Faiers slams 'rude' Phillip Schofield after awkward This Morning interview

Billie Faiers is the latest celeb to jump on the Phillip Schofield spat bandwagon, branding the TV presenter 'rude'.

The Mummy Diaries star, 29, was interviewed by Phil and Holly Willoughby on This Morning when he quizzed her over the cost of her lavish Maldives wedding.

In a joint interview with her husband Greg Shepherd for OK! magazine , Billie said she didn't like being asked about money, as she claimed Phil tried to "insinuate that they got the wedding for free”.

She said: "I was in shock. Prior to our appearance, I’d been very clear that I don’t talk about money. It’s rude and it’s nobody’s business but ours.”

Greg, 33, added: "We should ask Phillip Schofield how much he earns!"

Billie continued: "They were trying to insinuate that we got the wedding for free, which is so far from the truth. We saved for our wedding for years."

During the interview Phil, 57, tried to work out the cost of flying out their 100 guests to the Maldives, with some viewers branding the chat "uncomfortable".

He said: "This is the Kuramathi Resort in the Maldives. So we had a look, if you were to stay there next Saturday it would be £650 a night, that would be £4,588 for a week for the superior beach villa.

"The whole week for a 100 guests, £229,000. So you must have got a deal there. £229,000 for your wedding?"

The only thing the mum-of-two would say about the estimate was “No it wasn’t quite that.”

Billie's comments come after news of a rift between Phil and Amanda Holden as it was claimed he'd stopped her from hosting the show while Holly was away with I'm A Celebrity.

Heart FM breakfast DJ Amanda reportedly took her concerns to ITV boss Kevin Lygo, with a former daytime TV executive revealing that "Phillip actively campaigned for Rochelle Humes to get the job despite Amanda being more experienced".

This was despite it being alleged that Amanda had been told in private that "she'd got the gig".

Since the news came out a whole host of celebs have defended Schofe's reputation, but Amanda has continued to make digs at his expense.

On her radio show she said the three things she didn't want to find in her house were "spiders, flies and Phillip Schofield".

Then on another broadcast she claimed she'd texted Phil to call a truce but he ignored her messages.

Mirror Online has contacted Phillip Schofield's reps for comment.
