Billie Faiers is taking a break from Dancing on Ice after Nanny Wendy died

Billie Faiers is taking a break from Dancing on Ice after a death in her family.

Her grandmother Nanny Wendy died aged 77 after she was diagnosed with pneumonia.

The Mummy Diaries star, who is married to Greg Shepherd, will be absent from the show on Sunday as she grieves for her grandmother.

She's competing on Dancing on Ice 2021 with her professional skater Mark Hanretty.

However, the reality queen will return to the show the following week after her temporary break.

The Dancing on Ice team sent their love to Billie and her family at this difficult time.

A spokesperson for Dancing On Ice said: "Sadly due to a family bereavement this week Billie Shepherd is taking a break from the ice and won't be on Sunday's show.

"We look forward to her returning next week and send her all of our love at this sad time."

Billie and her sister Sam are devastated over the death of their grandmother Nanny Wendy.

Filming The Mummy Diaries has reportedly been stopped while the family grieve.

They had just started filming for the family reality series in December with some scenes focusing on Sam's 30th birthday.

Reality star sisters Sam and Billie had an incredibly close relationship with their grandmother.

Nanny Wendy often joined the glamorous reality stars on holiday and at events.

Sources shared her death has come as a "complete shock" to the family.

Nanny Wendy was the mum to their biological father Lee Faiers.

Lee said in a statement to The Mirror: "My beautiful mum lost her short battle with pneumonia on Wednesday afternoon.

"My mum idolised my daughters as she did all of her grandchildren. She thought of Suzanne as a daughter, they were very close.

"Her passing was very peaceful surrounded by myself, Suzanne & our daughters."
