Billie Faiers and Greg Shepherd have suffered a major set back in their £1.5m mansion renovations.
The former The Only Way Is Essex star revealed they won’t be able to move into their huge new home in Brentwood, Essex, until later this year, after workmen confirmed they wouldn’t be able to continue on the massive development.
Their dream home has been plagued with a series of delays, and in Wednesday's episode of The Family Diaries, Billie and Greg faced their worst nightmare, as they were told they had to make decisions on the interior before work could restart.
Project manager Lee was the one to give the couple the bad news, and told Billie she had to give the worn guidance on the interiors.
“There's no one working because we haven’t been giving them decisions. This is interior and he needs to be on top of it a bit more, and he's waiting for information from you,” Greg explained to his wife.
Lee walked the couple through the remaining jobs left on the to-do list, and said they needed to work on “kitchen, utility and stairs, and then we can get everything in place and call the plasterers in”.
When Greg asked Lee how far behind schedule they were with renovations, he was stunned when given the timeline.
“Lee told us before that it was behind but it's shocked me for him to tell me it's 24 weeks behind, it's been dragged out long enough and it's time,” he told the camera.
“At this rate I'll have finished the garden before you finish the interior,” Greg joked.
The work on their home has been documented on their ITVBe reality series, and the couple have been hit with a series of problems while renovating their huge family home.
Billie and Greg are reportedly at war with their disgruntled neighbours, who are less than impressed with the scale of work at the property, which began in January last year.
The couple were allegedly “no longer on speaking terms” with residents, and have splashed out thousands on privacy trees.
