Billie Faiers admits husband Greg putting her on a 'sex ban' sparked furious argument

Billie Faiers has set the record straight after her husband Greg Shepherd joked that she was banned from having sex with him for a fortnight.

The 32-year-old mum-of-two has been married to 37-year-old businessman Greg since 2019 and they currently star together in an ITVBe reality show titled Billie and Greg: The Family Diaries.

Last week an episode aired showing Greg going under the knife to have a hair transplant operation to replenish the thinning follicles on his head.

The cheeky husband then quipped that Billie would be “devastated” that they wouldn’t be able to have sex for 14 days as a doctor advised him he had to keep his heart rate and adrenaline at a resting rate for that time.

But now Billie has hit back via her The Sam and Billie Show Podcast, which she co-hosts with her sister Sam Faiers, after Greg’s confession was seized upon to create headlines.

In an astonishing confession about her own self-absorbed ego, Billie admitted that she has set Google to alert her if any articles are ever published about her so she can immediately read all about herself.

She said on her podcast: “I wake up this morning, Google Alert: ‘Billie Faiers husband, Greg, says she will be devastated by a 14 day sex ban’.”

She then raged: “We had a full blown argument in bed about this at six thirty this morning.”

Going into more detail, she went on: “Obviously after the show is on you see the next day in the press the headlines and articles.

“I was like, I went to him: ‘See what I mean? For god’s sake!’ And he was like: ‘I was just being myself!’

“I do get that they twist things and we know ‘that’s definitely not the truth’,” she grumbled, adding: “’Devastated’?! Like… it’s just so silly.”

She then went on: “And I was like: ‘Once again, you have got us into this trouble. So now these other silly headlines –‘“

Sister Sam, 31, interrupted and admitted: “It is funny though. That headline I think would make people go a bit like ‘Oh! What’s that about then? Let me tune in and have a look at the family diaries!’”

Billie went on to agree that she loves the attention – and so does Greg.

She said: “Well this was Gregs argument. He went ‘Well, it’s good press for the show. People might then go on and watch the show if they see that headline.’

“You would rather have some headlines than no headlines at all.”

Indeed, Billie says she and Greg have loved having fans tell them how much they love the show – with the duo recently finishing filming of the current season.

Taking to Instagram at the weekend, Billie shared a snap of herself and her husband in a car together flashing their impressively sparkling smiles.

The reality star wrote: “We have just finished filming this series of @familydiariesofficial …. I wanted to say a HUGE thank you to everyone who watches the show and for all of the lovely feedback, it doesn’t go unnoticed and we are very grateful for your support.”
