Billie Eilish wanted to be 'belle of the ball' at Met Gala in Marilyn Monroe homage
Billie Eilish appeared to channel her inner Marilyn Monroe for her debut at the Met Gala on Monday evening.
The pop star, 19, who was assisting Anna Wintour as host of the show, looked like the belle of the ball as she wore a beautiful tulle dress by Oscar de la Renta to the event.
She appeared to ditch her baggy clothes for something completely different - and wowed the audience in the process.
Taking inspiration from Grace Kelly and legendary Marilyn Monroe for her Met dress choice, creative director of the label - Fernando Garcia - said to New York Times: "It felt like a risk for her — it felt like something that made her nervous in a good way. At the end of the day, she's a girl, and she wants to look pretty."
The songstress also changed her hairstyle, opting for a classic short blonde bob, which complimented her princess gown.
Billie's famous black and neon green hair was nowhere to be seen as she rocked her new look.
Elsewhere during the star-studded evening, Kim Kardashian looked spectacular as she made her entrance at the Met Gala.
She wore a full mask outfit, covered from head to toe, matching with her estranged husband Kanye West.
However the reality star rocked the red carpet on her own, as Kanye was reportedly not attending the event.
Kim didn't seem to mind as she stole the spotlight and posed for the cameras.
Her half-sister Kendall Jenner and mum Kris Jenner also turned up at the event in true Kardashian style.
Megan Thee Stallion also attended, as well as Saweetie and Maisie Williams.
Loved-up Justin and Hailey Bieber put on a joyous display at the celebrations, as they chatted away together and were constantly seen touching.
Pop star Rita Ora went for a sexy all-glitter look as she made her way to the red carpet, linking onto boyfriend Taika Waititi.
And Nicola Peltz and her fiancé Brooklyn Beckham stood out as they wore contrasting outfits - with Victoria and David Beckham's son in a black suit, while actress Nicola opted for a bright pink glitzy gown.
