Billie Eilish stunned fans earlier this week when she revealed her trademark green and black hair is actually a wig.
The singer secretly dyed her real locks blonde two months ago, but decided to keep her new look under wraps.
And she's not the first star to have opted for a hair piece. Beyonce's collection of wigs was once said to be worth a whopping $1million, while Stacey Solomon recently splashed out on a £1,000 wig called 'Suze' after years of bleaching and styling damaged her natural tresses.
Then there's Katie Price, who unbeknown to fans actually has short hair beneath all those extensions, while Gwen Stefani wasn't always the platinum-haired rocker we know today.
Here, The Mirror explores what the stars look like without their wigs - and they're all stunning...
Gwen Stefani

The No Doubt singer is famed for her platinum hair that miraculously never has roots, and she loves to thicken it with extensions.
"Everything is fake," Gwen, 51, once said of her iconic look. "I haven't seen [my real hair] since 9th grade."
But a throwback picture of the star as a teenager with her brother Eric revealed that her natural colour is an ash brown.
Katie Price

Katie Price says the stress of her bankruptcy and giving birth to five kids had caused her hair to fall out, leaving her with a bald patch
The 42 year old explored a £3,000 procedure , enquiring into a hair transplant in a bid to fix her damaged tresses.
In a clip from the KSL Clinic obtained by The Sun, Katie said: "I've had extensions since the age of 18. What's happened, since I like to wear my hair up, I've pulled my hair up like this, I've had five kids, I've had stress.
"A lot of people I know have had extensions, but you'll see here, I've got - I would say balding actually.
"My hair doesn't seem to grow. Now I've got darker hair you see it more. Here, it's just so balding. I didn't know girls could do [a hair transplant]... and that's why I'm here."
But she recently gave fans a good look at her natural hair, showing off her short brown 'do as she waited for her extensions to be put back in.
Ariana Grande

Ariana, 27, has been wearing wigs and hair extensions for years after excessive bleaching destroyed her natural chocolate brown locks.
The high ponytail made its first appearance in 2014, with Ariana explaining it was the only style that would work with her frazzled strands.
"I had to bleach my hair and dye it red every other week for the first 4 years of playing Cat [on Nickelodeon's Cat & Sam]... as one would assume, that completely destroyed my hair.
"My real hair is back to brown and I wear extensions but I wear it in a pony tail because my actual hair is so broken that it looks absolutely ratchet and absurd when I let it down."
Kylie Jenner

The youngest of the Kardashian-Jenner clan is famed for her snazzy hair colours and styles, and has made no secret of the fact she achieves her striking looks by wearing wigs.
And according to Kylie, 23, she was the original trailblazer of the wig trend.
"I started wigs, and now everyone is wearing wigs," she once told Marie Claire. "Kim [Kardashian] just used my wig guy last night... I just do whatever I want to do, and people will follow."
Stacey Solomon

Loose Women star Stacey, 31, splurged £1,000 on a wig after years of 'bleaching, tonging, blow-drying and straightening' left her natural hair 'completely ruined'.
She told The Sun : "I always wanted to go blonder, straighter, slicker. The result? Wiry, broken strands and a psoriasis-ridden scalp. Stress causes flare-ups and it’s so damn itchy."
The wig - which she has named 'Suze' - takes 20 minutes to put on but she can only stand wearing it for three hours at a time, meaning it's reserved for TV appearances and date nights with partner Joe Swash.
And she misses her 'old hair' so much that she cries when watching footage of herself singing on the X Factor with her natural locks.
She added: "I’d much, MUCH rather have my natural hair. If I could give my 14-year-old self any advice it would be to look after your hair. Don’t mess with it!"
Billie Eilish

Billie Eilish stunned fans when she recently revealed her iconic green and black hair was actually a wig.
The cunning popstar fooled her followers by wearing a hair piece before unveiling her blonde hair that she secretly lightened at the start of the year.
"This was in my drafts LOL my hair been blonde for like two months," she said on Instagram.
Beyonce

Beyonce looks amazing - whatever way she does her hair.
And she gave fans a rare glimpse of her natural hair back in 2013 when she got a pixie crop back after her long tresses got caught in a wind machine on stage.
The singer's handcrafted and custom made wig collection was once said to be worth $1 million, and the star donates her worn wigs to an organisation that provides pieces for chemotherapy patients
