Billie Eilish spotted pleading not to win Grammys Album of the Year as she scoops 5 gongs

Billie Eilish swept the board at last night's Grammy Awards 2020 as she picked up five gongs for her music.

But the 18-year-old singer was hilariously spotted pleading not to win the prestigious Album of the Year award as the camera picked her out of the crowd.

With four gold trophies under her belt, Billie was clearly dreading having to get up on stage yet again and was seen begging under her breath not to win.

"Please don’t be me, please," she mouthed as the cameras panned over all the nominees - including Ariana Grande, Lana Del Rey, H.E.R, Lil Nas X, Lizzo, Vampire Weekend and Bon Iver.

But once again, Billie's name was called out to rapturous applause and she was forced to get back on stage to accept the win.

In her acceptance speech, Billie said Ariana should have won instead.

"I think it [Thank U, Next] deserves [it] like more than anything in the world. I love you so much," she told the Sweetener star.

In response, Ariana shook her head from the audience and blew kisses at Billie to thank her.

Viewers were charmed by Billie's display of modesty, with one tweeting: "Not billie mouthing 'please don't be me' and then winning and then saying 'can i just say ariana deserves this way more than me.' AND THEN ARIANA SAYING NO AND ENCOURAGING HER."

Another gushed: "Honestly so happy for Billie Eilish! She really deserved these wins, and I was dying when she said 'Please don't be me' lol I love her! #GRAMMYs @billieeilish congratulations!"

While a third laughed: "Loved @billieeilish's energy after winning several Grammys... she was all 'please stop!'"

Billie was the biggest winner of the night, taking home gongs for Album, Song of the Year, Best New Artist, Record of the Year and Best Pop Vocal Album for her debut When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go?.

She only missed out on one of her six nominations, gracefully losing out to Lizzo for Best Pop Solo Performance.
