Billie Eilish admits feeling starstruck after finally meeting idol Justin Bieber: 'I lost my brain'

Billie Eilish recalled the moment she was left star-struck after finally meeting Justin Bieber.

The singer, who turned 18 this week, appeared on Carpool Karaoke with James Corden for the popular The Late Late Show segment on Thursday.

The star, who has been nominated for album of the year and record of the year at the 2020 Grammy Awards, revealed she was shocked to find out the likes of Billy Joel Armstrong and Justin Bieber were big fans of hers.

Eilish, who has admitted to being a mega supporter of Bieber’s for years, recounted the dramatic meeting with the Purpose singer when attending Coachella in April.

She explained that she was certain that she did not want to be surprised with a meet and greet with Bieber because she wouldn't be able to "take it”, but it happened anyway.

While watching Ariana Grande perform her headline slot, she spotted him standing near her.

"He just stood five feet away from me and perfectly still. He had the face mask and all I could see were his eyes. I lost my brain," she said.

After telling her story she went on to rap Ludacris’ verse on Bieber’s song Baby.

In July, Bieber and Eilish finally collaborated on a remixed version of Billie's hit Bad Guy from her latest album, When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go?

The episode also featured appearances from Mariah Carey, who performed All I Want for Christmas Is You, and Taylor Swift, who appeared in a Cats-themed sketch with Corden.
