Bill Turnbull to reunite with Susanna Reid on GMB as Piers Morgan's replacement

Bill Turnbull will be reunited on air with his former co-host Susanna Reid next week when he steps in as guest presenter on Good Morning Britain.

The breakfast television veteran will present alongside Susanna from Monday May 24 until Wednesday May 26.

The pair presented BBC Breakfast for years together, before Susanna left for ITV in 2014.

Bill, 65, who quit the show in 2016, has been fighting prostate cancer and now works on Classic FM.

The presenter was diagnosed with advanced prostate cancer back in 2017.

Bill said: "I am very pleased to be back presenting on GMB, especially as I get to be reunited with my old pal Susanna."

Susanna Reid said: "I am delighted Bill is back in the presenter chair at the GMB desk.

"He has been a beloved favourite of breakfast television viewers for years and a good friend of mine."

Neil Thompson, Good Morning Britain editor added: "I'm thrilled that Bill is rejoining us behind the GMB desk.

"It's not just his brilliant and enduring onscreen partnership with Susanna that makes its mark, it's his relationship with the audience in general, one based on authenticity, authority, warmth, humour and trust."

Since Piers Morgan's departure from the show, GMB has been looking for a new host to present alongside Susanna Reid.

Ben Shephard and Adil Ray have filled in for Mr Morgan, but no permanent figure has been found.

Good Morning Britain weekdays from 6am on ITV and on ITV Hub
