Hats off to the Candlestick Press for one of the most charming innovations to have crossed my desk in these difficult times. Its Poetry Pamphlet range (£4.95) gives you an exquisitely printed booklet, an envelope in which to post it, plus a bookmark for your greeting. This independent Nottingham imprint (candlestickpress.co.uk) has launched its series with Ten Poems about Love, including Wendy Cope's Magnetic, and another about bicycles which reprints Australian national treasure "Banjo" Paterson's two-wheeled classic, Mulga Bill's Bicycle. Candlestick's editor, Jenny Swann, writes affectionately about "the miraculous and sometimes poignant associations" of the humble bike. We fervently hope that her series will bring sweetness and light to romantic pedal pushers everywhere.
