After rookie quarterback Dwayne Hasking slowly limped to the locker room at half time after getting beat up in the first half and suffering an apparent leg injury, Washington Redskins head coach Bill Callahan said that the team had no intention of sitting him after he was cleared by the medical staff.
Throughout the second half, Haskins seemed to be less mobile than normal, and it left him standing in the pocket and unable to escape pressure. The rookie finished out the game, but many were calling for him to be benched to preserve his own health for the future.
Some drew comparisons to Washington’s treatment of Robert Griffin III years ago when the team decided to continue playing him after he appeared to suffer a knee injury.
Haskins was seen limping after the game and will undergo further testing.
