Bill Callahan says Dwayne Haskins has made ‘light years’ of progress

Washington Redskins coaches weren’t shy about addressing Dwayne Haskins’ growing pains earlier this year and they aren’t shy now about addressing how he’s grown as a player.

And the developments have been encouraging.

Just ask Redskins interim coach Bill Callahan, who says Haskins is “light years” ahead of where he was the last time he took the field against the New York Giants, according to NBC Sports Washington’s JP Finlay.

While the film of that game might want to make Haskins himself puke, there’s no denying he’s improved by leaps and bounds since the performance where he threw a trio of interceptions.

Haskins enters his rematch coming off a two-touchdown, no interception performance during a loss to Philadelphia.

And based on comments from coaches, it’s clear he’s developing in all the right ways, as expected of a rookie passer. With that in mind, it’s safe to presume he has a much better game against the Giants this time.
