Bill Callahan offers a glowing review for Landon Collins

Landon Collins has largely been one of the big wins for the Washington Redskins this season.

The big-money free agent has played about as expected and, per various accounts throughout the season, continues to show the leadership and culture-changing habits the Redskins hoped for when they brought him to town.

This idea got more weight behind it recently when interim coach Bill Callahan offered droves of praise for the safety, including the following, per Kyle Stackpole of the team’s website:

“Mentioned his production and communication but highlighted his leadership. Said the team gets a lot out of him.”

In the 19-9 loss to Minnesota, Collins led the Redskins with 11 total tackles and had a quarterback hit for good measure.

That’s the third time this year Collins has gone for double-digit tackles in a game and now has 70 total on the year so far.

A long-term part of the plan, Collins is working exactly as advertised so far.
