Bill Belichick told N’Keal Harry the Patriots were drafting him in the most Bill Belichick way

The New England Patriots did something in the first round of the 2019 NFL Draft that they had never done before during Bill Belichick’s time with the team – they picked a wide receiver.

That wide receiver was Arizona State’s N’Keal Harry, who New England took with the final pick in the first round.

Tom Brady, who has seen many of his favorite weapons leave the team this offseason, is really going to like working with Harry.

The Patriots took us inside the moment that Belichick called Harry on Thursday and his conversation with the WR was classic Belichick. While other coaches (Jon Gruden) got all excited telling guys they were picking them, Belichick was all business.

After an awkward flub he said:

“Congratulations, you’re a New England Patriot. I’m excited to start working with you and glad to have you aboard.”
