Bill Belichick stifles rumors of retirement with classic response

If you were worried about New England Patriots head coach Bill Belichick retiring anytime soon, you can probably put those fears at ease. The coach gave a standard Bill Belichick answer when asked about whether or not he would retire following 2021.

Sportsbetting.AG has odds of the Patriots head coach leaving before the start of the 2021 season at +200.

With the Patriots starting the season against the Miami Dolphins on Sunday, they will look to put the 2019 season behind them, as they start a new era of football. With the Dolphins having bested New England 27-24 in their last meeting, that is an interesting subplot heading into Sunday.

In the meantime, Sunday is exactly what Bill Belichick is focused on.

“Yeah, I am just trying to get ready for Miami. I don’t know. Long-term for me would be Sunday,” he said.

It will be interesting to see what the New England Patriots look like on Sunday. One thing is for sure, Bill Belichick will be there on Sunday, and on the sidelines for at least the foreseeable future.
