Bill Belichick sent quite a message with the visor he chose to wear at the Senior Bowl

Bill Belichick is used to spending this week preparing for another trip to the Super Bowl.

But not this year.

Belichick and the New England Patriots were knocked out of the playoffs by the Tennessee Titans in the wild-card round a few weeks ago, ending their three-year run of going to the Super Bowl.

So now Belichick has time to do what other coaches do during this week – go to the Senior Bowl in Alabama and starting getting a good look at prospects for this year’s NFL Draft.

Belichick was on the sidelines in Birmingham on Tuesday and he picked quite a visor to wear:

Eight rings, of course, refers to the six Super Bowl rings he’s won with the Patriots and the two he won with the Giants.

Belichick renames his boat each time he wins a ring, which he did last February.

But still, that visor is quite the flex for Senior Bowl week.
