Stephon Gilmore wasn’t the only New England Patriot to have conversation with Arizona Cardinals receiver DeAndre Hopkins.
The 28-year-old recorded an underwhelming five catches for 55 yards in a 20-17 loss to New England in Week 12. He’s widely respected as one of the league’s best receivers and he’s nearly recorded 1,000 yards after 11 games played this season. If Hopkins wasn’t blanketed by the reigning Defense Player of the Year, he likely would’ve done much more against the Patriots.
Bill Belichick has always respected Hopkins and he had a quick conversation with him after the win. Patriots fans on Twitter immediately made speculation about Hopkins potentially joining up in New England.

BB knows after 2022 season Hopkins contract becomes such a high yearly salary, AZ may have to cut him. Maybe we see him in a Patriots uniform in 2023 because of this handshake …..
