Bill Belichick rolls to 300th career win as Patriots remain perfect

Bill Belichick’s a magician as a coach. He notched his 300th career victory Sunday as New England defeated the Cleveland Browns, 27-13.

Victory No. 300 came against the team he coached for five seasons, going 36-44 from 1991-95. He took over in New England in 2000. Belichick has 269 victories in the regular season, and 31 in the playoffs, including six Super Bowls.

The milestone victory puts Belichick in elite company, behind Don Shula and George Halas.

Shula’s 300th win came on Sept. 22, 1991. On Sunday, it was 10,262 days since a coach entered the 300-win club.

The Patriots’ coach appears on his way to his 17th regular season of double-digit victories with New England at 7-0.
