Bill Belichick renames his boat ‘VIII Rings’

New England Patriots coach Bill Belichick was eager to change the name of his boat. Just days after winning Super Bowl LIII, Belichick made sure the boat’s name reflected the number of rings he has won: eight. He changed the name from the outdated title of “VII Rings” to a newly minted name of “VIII Rings.”

He has won six championship rings with the Patriots, and as a defensive coordinator, he won two rings with the New York Giants.

It is the coach’s custom to change the name of this boat, which he typically uses in Nantucket, soon after he wins his latest championship.
