Rookie defensive tackle Christian Barmore is emerging as one of the New England Patriots’ top defensive players this season.
He was a huge part of the Patriots’ efforts to stop the Carolina Panthers’ rushing attack and it was a successful attempt in the 24-6 victory in Week 9. The Patriots held the Panthers, who had superstar Christian McCaffrey available, to 78 yards on the ground.
While speaking to reporters after the game, Bill Belichick gave high praise to Barmore.
“I gotta give that kid a lot of credit,” Belichick said. “He comes in early. Stays late. Works on his flexibility. His strength. His technique. He’s really applied himself. He’s done better and better every week.”
