Bill Belichick has truly awkward moment with reporter after loss to Dolphins

New England Patriots coach Bill Belichick didn’t follow a reporter’s question after the team’s 27-24 loss to the the Miami Dolphins in Week 17. And perhaps Belichick was trying his best to follow the reporter’s stream of consciousness, because the coach delivered an awkward pause after the question. Eventually, he broke the silence with a laughable response.

Belichick was asked what he could tell the media about the play-call on the Patriots’ final offensive play of the game when they resorted to lateraling as long as they could. Was there a play-call or was it a matter of getting the ball to Julian Edelman and seeing what happened next?

“What’s that again?” he asked.

How much of it was a designed play-call?

“Yeah, it’s our last play,” Belichick interrupted. “So, we’re trying to find a way to score.”

Unfortunately for New England, that play-call didn’t work.
