Bill Belichick gets snarky with reporter over Josh Gordon

When Bill Belichick makes a statement, he rarely has anything to add to that statement, particularly when it’s on a hot-button issue. So when he released his statement on Josh Gordon, that was his final word on the receiver’s return to the team after serving an indefinite suspension.

During a sideline interview on Saturday night, CBS’s Steve Burton asked Belichick if he had any other thoughts beyond the statement. Belichick did not. Burton followed with the question: “Not at all?”

“No, that is why we put out the statement,” Belichick said.

Some will say that Belichick is in midseason form. The truth is that the Patriots coach will never be bad at this.

Here’s what Belichick’s statement said on Saturday:

“For the past eight months, Josh’s situation has been entirely a league matter. When Josh returns to our program, we will evaluate the entire situation and do what we feel is best for Josh and the team.”
