Whether you're more of a 'Bogus Journey' or 'Excellent Adventure' kinda person, or maybe both, you'll be very excited by the totally bodacious news that a Bill and Ted Day is coming to Newcastle.
The hit Bill and Ted film franchise, which spawned two cult classic movies starring Keanu Reeves and Alex Winters in the title roles, is being celebrated in style at one of Newcastle's most famous venues in the summer.
Just as production begins on Bill and Ted: Face The Music, The Cluny has announced that it will be hosting Bill and Ted Day on June 9, a date which has become recognised as Bill and Ted Day all over the world.
Giving an explanation, The Cluny posted on Facebook, "Why is Bill & Ted Day on June 9th?
It's the date their excellent adventure actually began! Think about it, it's the end of the school year.
"In 1988, the year the film takes place, it was a Thursday - which is when San Dimas High School has their final exams! In real life they've had them on June 9th several times since, most recently in 2016.
"Plus, San Dimas, California utilizes the month/day/year format when numerically writing a date. The month comes before the day - thus, June 9th, would be 6/9, the number Bill & Ted are thinking of when they meet themselves in front of the Circle K. WHOA."
The Cluny's Bill and Ted Day will see both films screened in full in Cluny 2 as well as an air guitar competition, fancy dress and live music.
