Bilel Mohsni in surprise transfer as Rangers flop continues nomadic career after Barnet exit

Former Rangers and Dundee United defender Bilel Mohsni has moved to the Saudi Arabian second division as he continues his nomadic career.

The centre-back spent two seasons at Ibrox under Ally McCoist then Stuart McCall but became known for his meme-able moments as much as his defending.

The Tunisian international famously lost the plot after play-off defeat to Motherwell, kicking opposition striker Lee Erwin before punching him in the face.

That was his final appearance for Rangers as he departed for Angers, but he had a brief return to Scottish football with Dundee United in 2018.

Mohsni scored three goals in 10 appearances at Tannadice, though boss Csaba Laszlo declared after his debut that he "wanted to kill" his new signing after failing to stop a run.

The defender has since spent time with both Grimsby and Barnet, with Ian Holloway describing him as "our Van Dijk" when signing for the former.

Mohsni has been a free agent since leaving the Bees but has now rocked up at Saudi Arabian second tier side Al Rawdah.

They welcomed the 33-year-old as "the minister of defence", though Rangers and Dundee United fans may remember him more as a minister for war.
