Bikers to descend on Glasgow for Blue Angels gang boss' funeral

Bikers from all over the world are set to arrive in Scotland for the funeral of a motorcycle gang boss.

Blue Angels Motorcycle Club founder Allan Morrison, 77, died of lung disease COPD on Wednesday.

Morrison’s family said it was “with regret” they had to announce the death of the president of the Blue Angels, “the oldest one per cent motorcycle club in Europe”.

The “one per cent” is often used to describe so-called outlaw motorcycle clubs.

His family added: “Allan was much loved by his friends, family and fellow bikers all over the world.”

Police will provide an escort for Morrison’s funeral, which takes place at Glasgow Crematorium on February 15.

Morrison and his best friend Billy Gordon founded the Blue Angels in 1963, with chapters across Scotland and the north of England as well as seven in Belgium and two in Spain.
