As Mayorwatch reports, London Travelwatch has expressed concern that the public doesn't know enough about the 18-month trial period, which started yesterday, allowing motorcyclists to use bus lanes on TfL's red routes. It's worried about the safety implications for pedestrians and cyclists, as is the London Cycling Campaign. All this follows a ding-dong over a TfL report on a trial under Ken Livingstone which either showed that everyone's safety was enhanced by letting bikers in bus lanes or showed the opposite, depending on your point of view.
