Biker suffered serious injuries after crash with car

A motorcyclist suffered serious injuries after a crash in Huyton.

The accident between a black Suzuki motorbike and a white Toyota Aygo happened at 10pm on Sunday.

Emergency services rushed to the scene of the crash at the junction of St Davids Road and Gretton Road.

The biker, a man in his 30s, has serious injuries to his wrist and a punctured lung but his injuries were classed an non-life threatening.

The driver of the car stopped and helped police with their enquiries.

A spokesman for Merseyside Police said: "Officers from our Roads Policing Unit are appealing for witnesses following a serious injury RTC in Huyton last night, Sunday 19 February. 

"At around 10pm, emergency services were called to the junction of St Davids Road and Gretton Road to reports of collision involving a black Suzuki motorcycle and white Toyota Aygo. 

"The motorcycle rider, a man in his 30s, was taken to hospital with serious but non life-threatening injuries to his wrist and a punctured lung. 

"The driver of the car stopped to assist with enquiries."
