Police have released details about a devastating crash on Kirkstall Road which has seen the busy route closed for a number of hours.
A white motorbike collided with a white Skoda Fabia shortly before 10am this morning and saw the 28-year-old rider suffer serious injuries.
Police and paramedics arrived on the scene within minutes and the patient was transferred to Leeds General Infirmary for treatment.
The 71-year-old driver of the Skoda also attended hospital with minor injuries.
The incident occurred outside Waterside House, which is between Cardigan Fields and the Kirkstall Morrisons store, and the road remains closed while investigations continue.
