A motorbike rider was taken to hospital after a collision in Fazakerley .
Emergency services were called to Brookfield Drive at 9.30pm following reports of a crash between a Ford KA and a Kawasaki bike.
The incident left shattered glass and debris scattered across the road, near Altcourse Prison .
A section of the road was closed between its junctions with Higher Lane and Lower Lane as emergency crews responded.
Police officers examined the crash scene, which was close to a bus stop.
The road was reopened at around 11pm after the vehicles had been recovered.
The man who had been riding the bike was taken to hospital following the crash, after which his vehicle could be seen laid out on a grass verge.
