An off-road rider says he is "lucky to be alive" after a "silly mistake" saw him fall more than 30ft off a cliff edge.
Adrian Owen had been out riding with a pal on Sunday afternoon in Merthyr, Wales, when he misjudged his surroundings and plummeted to the ground.
He suffered "significant injuries" and has now shared astonishing head-cam footage showing the moment he rode his bike off the edge of the quarry.
He wants to warn others and thank the emergency services who saved his life, reports Wales Online.
Posting the footage to Facebook , Adrian wrote: "To anyone that rides off road bikes - always be aware of your surroundings.

"All it takes is one silly mistake like mine and it could be game over!
"I got off very lucky!"
The footage shows Adrian riding his motorbike across a series of grass verges and rocky bumps.
As he ventures off in front of another rider, his bike suddenly drops off the edge of the quarry - sending him hurtling towards the ground below.
As he falls towards the jagged rocks and boulders, Adrian can be seen extending his arm to try and save himself.
He then appears to roll down the steep cliff-side, as the footage comes to a stop and ends with the camera facing the grass.

The Central Beacons Mountain Rescue Team were called by South Wales Police following reports that a 25-year-old man had fallen off a cliff near Merthyr at 12.34pm.
On arrival at the scene, rescuers found that an off-road motorcyclist "had inadvertently ridden over the edge of a small quarry, falling some 30-40ft, sustaining significant injuries".
Adrian was treated by paramedics, before being airlifted to hospital.
Speaking about his rescue, Adrian said: "I would like to say a massive thank you to my family and friends for their concern at this time.
"I am very lucky to be still alive!

"I’d like to give a big shout-out to the mountain rescue, air ambulance crew, medical staff and anyone else that has helped me pull through this.
"Also a big shout-out to the boys for reassuring and comforting me while the help was on its way."
A statement posted on the Central Beacons Mountain Rescue Team Facebook page added: "We wish [Adrian] a speedy and hopefully full recovery.
"Thanks also to his friends who assisted in guiding people to the scene and supporting the services there."
