Biker left with 'life-changing injuries' after crash in Stretford

A biker has been left with 'life-changing injuries' after a crash in Stretford.

The smash happened on Chester Road, at the junction with Ravenswood Road, at around 4pm yesterday (Wednesday).

A motorbike collided with a car, police said.

Pictures taken at the scene appeared to show a white Seat Ibiza and Harley-Davidson motorbike involved in the crash.

The biker was taken to hospital with 'life-changing injuries' to his arm and hand.

The female driver escaped the crash without injury.

The front of the Seat appeared to have been badly damaged and the bike was towed away from the scene.

A section of the road was cordoned off after the incident with police at the scene.

In a statement, a GMP spokesperson said: "A motorcyclist suffered serious but not life-threatening injuries after an RTC in Stretford.

"Officers were called to the incident on Chester Road at about 4pm on 9 June 2021.

"A motorbike was in collision with a car and the male rider was taken to hospital with life-changing arm and hand injuries.

"The female driver was uninjured."
