Biker 'left the scene' after crash between car and motorbike

Police are investigating after a crash between a motorbike and a car.

Emergency services were scrambled to Long Lane, in Bolton, at around 9am this morning (June 23).

The incident happened just outside Leverhulme Park.

Greater Manchester Police (GMP), the North West Ambulance Service (NWAS) and Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service (GMFRS) were all in attendance.

The driver of the car, a man, was treated for minor injuries at the scene but NWAS confirmed that he was not taken to hospital.

According to GMP, the rider of the motorbike left the scene after the collision.

Officers have seized the bike.

A GMP spokesman said: "Officers were called to reports of an RTC between a car and a motorbike on Long Lane, Bolton, at about 9am on 23 June 2021.

"NWAS and GMFRS also attended and the male car driver was treated at the scene for minor injuries.

"The male rider of the motorcycle left the scene and the bike seized.

"Enquiries are ongoing."
