Biker knocks down pedestrian in 'attempted murder bid' in Fife

A woman has been seriously injured in a crash which police are treating as attempted murder

The 45-year-old pedestrian was involved a crash with a motorcycle on Kirkland Walk, Methil , Fife, at around 1.40am on Saturday, August 10.

She was rushed to hospital after suffering a serious leg injury in the incident.

The motorcycle was also recovered near the scene by police.

Now, Police Scotland are appealing for witnesses as the collision is being treated as attempted murder.

Detective inspector Christopher Mill of Levenmouth CID said: "We are following up a positive line of enquiry after a woman was seriously injured after being struck by a motorcycle on August 10 in the Methil area.

“The collision appears to have been intentional and we are treating the matter as attempted murder.

“We would urge anyone who may have witnessed and incident or who may have any information to get in touch as a matter of urgency.”

Anyone with information has been asked to contact Levenmouth CID on 101 quoting police incident number 404 of August 10.
