Biker killed in horror crash with car in Glasgow named by police

A biker killed in a horror crash with a car in Glasgow’s east end has been named by police.

Ian Wyatt, from the city, was driving a black Honda motorcycle when it collided with a black Audi A4 at the Ballieston Interchange on Saturday, 30 May, at 3pm.

Police were called to the crash but the 45-year-old was pronounced dead at the scene.

Detectives are appealing for witnesses or drivers with dash cam footage who may have been in the area.

Sergeant Roy McCarney, of the Road Policing Unit, said: “Our thoughts remain with Mr Wyatt's family and friends at this difficult time.

“We are continuing with enquiries to establish the full circumstances of the collision and we would like to speak to anyone who witnessed what happened who has not already spoken to officers.

“In particular we would like to speak to anyone who may have dash-cam footage that could help with our enquiries to get in touch.

"Anyone who can help our investigation is asked to call Police Scotland on 101, quoting incident 2666 of Saturday, 30 May.”
