Biker injured after Barmulloch Road hit-and-run as police hunt motorist

A motorcyclist was hospitalised after being injured in a hit-and-run in Glasgow this morning.

Emergency services raced to Barmulloch Road at around 11.30am after a road crash involving the motorcyclist and a vehicle.

The biker was then rushed to hospital for treatment.

Officers said enquiries are ongoing to trace the driver of the vehicle involved in the incident.

A Police Scotland spokeswoman said : "At around 11.30am, Police Scotland received a report of a road traffic crash involving a motorcyclist and a vehicle on Barmulloch Road in Glasgow on Thursday, 8 July, 2021.

“The motorcyclist was taken to hospital for treatment.

“Enquiries are ongoing to trace the driver of the vehicle."
