Biker in critical condition after two-vehicle smash in Aberdeenshire

A biker is in a critical condition after a two-vehicle crash in Aberdeenshire.

The 78-year-old man was rushed to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary after the collision on the B9170 Oldmeldrum to Methlick road, near the Craigdam junction on Saturday.

The pensioner's red Honda motorcycle hit a black Hyundai Santa Fe motor car which left him fighting for his life.

A 61-year-old who was driving the car was left uninjured as a result of the smash.

A Police Scotland statement read: "Anyone who witnessed the collision or saw either vehicle beforehand is urged to contact Police Scotland on 101, quoting reference number 2064 of 3rd August 2019."
