Biker in 'critical' condition after crash on Scots country road

A motorcyclist is in a 'critical' condition after being involved in a crash in Stirling.

Emergency services were called to the B9124 Bannockburn Road, near Cowie, at around 5:55am yesterday morning, Monday January, 18, following reports of a smash between a Vauxhall Corsa and a Yamaha off-road bike.

The 26-year-old bike rider was rushed to Forth Valley Royal Hospital, before being transferred to Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh, where he is being treated for his injuries.

Nobody else was injured in the accident.

Sergeant David Ross of the Road Policing Unit at Stirling is appealing for any witnesses to the crash.

He's also asking anyone driving on that round around the time of the crash with dash-cam footage to contact officers as soon as possible through 101 with reference number 0408 of 17 January.
