Biker, 17, taken to hospital after crash at town centre junction

A teenager has been taken to hospital after a crash between a car and a motorbike.

Emergency services were called to the junction of Trinity Street and Black Horse Street, in Bolton town centre, just before 8.45am today (Friday October 8).

North West Ambulance Service (NWAS) confirmed that the rider of the motorbike - a 17-year-old boy - has been taken to hospital.

A NWAS spokesman said: "We’ve responded to RTC involving a car and a motorbike, following a call at 08.44.

"The rider, a 17-year-old male, was taken to hospital."

The boy's injuries are not believed to be serious.
