Bijli Mahotsav: PM Narendra Modi to interact with power consumers from five Bihar districts today

PATNA: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will interact virtually with beneficiaries of power schemes from five districts in the state - Patna, Bhojpur, Nalanda, Supaul and Muzaffarpur - during the grand finale of Bijli Mahotsav on Saturday.

The Union ministry of power is celebrating the week-long Bijli Mahotsav under Ujjawal Bharat, Ujjawal Bhavishya - Power @ 2047 as part of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav. It will conclude on Saturday when the PM will interact with beneficiaries of various power schemes from over 100 districts in the country, including five from Bihar.

The National Thermal Power Corporation (NTPC), which is the nodal agency for Bihar, is organising the Bijli Mahotsav in 25 districts. NTPC regional executive director (east-I) and Bihar state nodal officer for Bijli Mahotsav, Sital Kumar, said the event is being celebrated in all 773 districts of the country, including 38 in Bihar.
