ARA: The admission process for the MCA course for the academic session 2022-24 has commenced at the Veer Kunwar Singh University (VKSU) here. Aspirants for the 45 seats of the course can apply till 25 June, while the entrance test will be conducted on 30 June. The results will be declared within a week, on 5 July.
The MCA department, which runs under the self-financing mode, will take online provisional admission from 7 July to 17 July. Verification of original certificates will be done from 18 July to 25 July and classes will commence from August 1.
Faculty head B.K.Mishra said all information regarding the admission to MCA course is available on the VKSU’s portal. BCA passouts are eligible for taking admission to the MCA course. As the duration of the MCA course has been reduced by one year by the UGC, it will now be a two-year course instead of the earlier three-year one. The syllabus and regulations for the course will be approved in the next meeting of the VKSU’s academic council, to be held soon.
The Master of Computer Application (MCA) is a post-graduate course which imparts knowledge about various aspects of computer programmes, application software, operating systems, computer architecture and much more. MCA passouts are mainly hired by the IT industry. According to experts, since India is the largest provider of IT solutions and the IT industry is witnessing steady growth, the MCA passouts can look forward to a bright future.
