Bihar: Stray dogs maul woman to death in Begusarai

BEGUSARAI: In a shocking incident, a pack of stray dogs attacked and killed a 55-year-old woman when she was on way to a maize field from her house under Rudauli panchayat of Bachhwara block in Begusarai district on Wednesday morning.

The deceased was identified as Manjula Devi. The pack of around a dozen stray dogs chased and mauled her on the spot.

A co-villager, Kanhaia Jha, said the canines didn't stop and even scavenged her dead body. It was only after a group of villagers arrived on the spot that they fled from there.

According to the villagers, a man who was also going to a nearby field from there at the same time had to climb a tree to save his life.
