Bihar Covid-19 unlock news: Schools for classes 1-12, colleges, cinema halls among other public places allowed to reopen normally

PATNA: After reviewing the current Covid-19 situation in the state, chief minister Nitish Kumar on Wednesday announced that all universities, colleges, technical educational institutions and schools (from class I to XII) as well as coaching institutes will open normally.

"Examinations can be conducted by the universities, colleges, schools of the state," said Kumar.

The chief minister added that all shops, shopping malls, parks, gardens, and religious places have been permitted to function normally.

"With the permission of the district administration, all types of social, political, entertainment, sports, cultural and religious events can be organized with the required precautions," tweeted Nitish Kumar on Wednesday.

Also, cinema halls, clubs, gyms, swimming pools, restaurants and eateries (with visitors) will be allowed to open with 50% capacity.

"But in view of the possibility of third wave, it is necessary for all Biharis to take precautions with Covid-friendly behavior," tweeted Nitish Kumar.
