Bihar: Nalanda JD(U) unit lashes out at former Union minister RCP Singh

BIHARSHARIF: Amid talks of a possible split in JD(U) following RCP Singh's resignation from the primary membership of the party on Saturday, Nalanda district JD(U) president Siya Sharan Thakur on Monday told mediapersons here that the party was intact in the district. Thakur said all the district party leaders and workers, including the ones considered close to RCP, are united.

Coming down heavily on RCP for his "sinking boat" jibe, state rural development minister Shrawan Kumar said, "When he knew the boat was sinking, why didn't he ask CM Nitish Kumar to shift to a new boat? The boat was sinking as RCP was on board. As he has deboarded the boat now, it will safely sail to its destination," he added.

Rajgir MLA Kaushal Kishore, Hilsa MLA Prem Mukhiya, MLC Reena Yadav, recently appointed party's general secretary, former Harnaut MLA Sunil Kumar and senior party functionary Shamim Akhtar were present at the press conference.
