PATNA: In a shocking incident, family members of a woman chopped off the private part of her boyfriend, 20, in Muzaffarpur district on Thursday. The victim is currently admitted to a private hospital in the Barria locality.
The victim is a resident of Gola Bandh Road, while the incident took place in the nearby Pankaj market locality. The victim and the woman had known each other for the past five years.
"We had received a call on 112 about the incident, but by the time we arrived at the location, the victim had already been admitted to the Hospital. The girl’s family claims that the man had been caught in a compromising position with the girl, after which he was beaten up badly. The victim is currently in a stable situation,” said ASP Awadesh Dixit.
The family of the victim alleged that the man was fraudulently called by his girlfriend, who had said that her father had suffered a heart attack and needed help to take him to hospital. When the victim went to the woman's house on Thursday evening, her family overpowered him and cut his private part. Police officials said that although the victim’s family had registered an FIR against the girl’s family, both parties are now trying to settle the matter privately.
