Charles Oliveira and Gilbert Burns both scored the biggest wins of their careers at UFC on ESPN+ 28, and they have some extra money to show for their efforts.
Oliveira and Burns were among Saturday night’s bonus recipients, with each man earning a “Performance of the Night” nod. The “Fight of the Night” went to Maryna Moroz and Mayra Bueno Silva, which resulted in a unanimous decision win for the former.
Oliveira picked up his seventh consecutive stoppage victory when he used a guillotine choke to submit Kevin Lee 28 seconds into the third round of the headliner. Burns, meanwhile, landed a hard left hook in the first round of his co-headliner against Demian Maia, which led to a TKO win.
UFCon ESPN+ 28 took place at Ginasio Nilson Nelson in Brasilia, Brazil, with fans and media not being allowed inside the venue because of the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.
