Biggar star Emma Orr played her part for Scotland Sevens at the Rugby Europe Championship tournament in Portugal last weekend, having received a late call-up.
Orr, who has only just turned 18, was selected as the 13th player but an injury saw her called-up on Monday and, after a whirlwind of reorganisation, she was on a plane to Lisbon on Wednesday.
It was uncertain how much time Emma would get, this being her first ever tournament, and while she missed the first couple of games, she then played a significant part as Scotland finished fifth overall, with four wins and two defeats.
A spokesperson for Biggar Rugby Club said: “This was a fantastic achievement for the youngster, who has only recently turned 18, but very well deserved.
“Emma has been a talent on the up ever since she started playing the game.

“Pace, power, skills and a thundering tackle have been hallmarks of her play, and she was quickly involved with the Scotland Futures programme.
“Emma was brought back into the training squad, where she worked alongside fellow Biggar players Sarah Denholm and Gerry Kimm.
“Her family are understandably extremely proud!
“Dad James is club president, mum Mara was a regular in the Ladies XV, sister Alison plays at Watsons and is a Biggar 1st XV physio, while brothers Jamie and Robbie star in the current 1st XV.”
