Bigg Boss 16: Salman Khan schools Ankit Gupta for doing nothing on the show; says, 'I haven't recovered from dengue yet I am back on sets as this is my work'

Bollywood superstar Salman Khan, who returned to host Bigg Boss 16 after a week’s gap, gave the contestants some reality checks. While he grilled a few of them for going wrong in the game, there were others who received flak from the host for being totally inactive on the show.

During the episode, the housemates were asked to select two contestants who can’t play the game without any support and need a guardian in the show. The majority of the housemates chose Sumbul Touqeer and Ankit Gupta’s name. Salman slammed both of them for not doing anything on the show and taking the place of a deserving contestant. He schooled them saying they are on the show because of their work and are not doing their job.

During his conversation with Ankit, Salman stated that he came to the show on his own wish and was not brought forcefully. He added that the Udaariyaan actor was on the show because of his professional commitment. Sharing an update about his health, Salman revealed that even though he has not yet fully recovered from dengue, he is still back as the host to fulfil his professional duties. He reminds Ankit, “You are working here.”

He asked Ankit to come out of his comfort zone and play the game as it is only going to benefit him. He advised the same thing to Sumbul and gave her a reality check that she is only seen in the show in the passing shots or in the background.

For the uninitiated, Salman Khan took a break from work for a week as he was recovering from dengue. In his absence, Karan Johar had stepped into his shoes to host weekend episodes of Bigg Boss 16.
