When it comes to wine, many people like to think they're an expert on the tipple.
But it seems that a number of us have been making big mistakes when drinking vino.
Whether you're a fan of red, white, rosé or sparkling, you might have been drinking wine 'wrong' and falling for wine myths, according to a new study.
The findings claim one of the most common errors Brits make when getting themselves a glass is filling it right to the brim.
While you might think this saves a trip back to the fridge for a top up, it turns out that adding too much wine could actually diminish the taste.

There's a reason wine connoisseurs are always swirling their drink around in the glass before they take a sip - and it's to do with aeration.
Allowing room to circulate the wine means air moves through the liquid, which enhances the taste.
Who doesn't want an enhanced flavour?
But this isn't the only faux pas we've been making with wine.

Virgin Wines, who conducted the research, shared 19 other major no-no's including keeping a bottle of wine open for too long, storing corked wine vertically, putting ice cubes in wine and serving white wine at room temperature.
They surveyed over 2,000 adults about their wine drinking habits and found 29 percent have mispronounced the name of a wine while ordering a glass – and one in six have been corrected by a sommelier in a restaurant.
Additionally almost four in 10 also admitted to drinking wine from something other than a wine glass and a quarter have served white wine with red meat.
Their in-house expert and Master Of Wine, Andrew Baker, said: "We want to help debunk many of the myths surrounding wine, so people can enjoy drinking it at its best quality and feel confident in their knowledge.
"A lot of people in the poll admitted to drinking from incorrect glassware and serving the incorrect type of wine with certain dishes.
"Stemware is of course the best glassware for drinking wine as they have been designed for the job – these types of glasses help maintain the temperate and aeration of wine."
Here's a look at their list of the top 20 wine faux pas people make:
- Holding a wine glass by the bulb, and not the stem
- Drinking wine from something that isn’t a wine glass
- Serving red wine directly from the bottle and not allowing it to ‘breathe’ first
- Damaging the wine cork and pushing the cork down the bottle
- Mispronouncing a type / name of wine
- Pouring red wine into a white wine glass or white wine into a red wine glass
- Serving white wine with a red meat
- Filling a wine glass to the very top
- Keeping a bottle of wine open for too long
