Big Ten football and College Football Playoff Bowl projections, predictions after conference Week 6

We’re headed down the home stretch of Ohio State football and it sure feels like things are limping along to the finish line in the Big Ten. With such a late start and the coronavirus canceling games and pausing football activities, it has been an uphill climb to get all the games in.

But despite the coronavirus pandemic, things are still pushing ahead with many of the bowls. Sure, there are some that have decided not to play, but all the big-money games — and most especially — the College Football Playoff are all moving ahead with optimism, looking to stage a game.

Each week, we project and predict where all the Big Ten teams will land and also peek into the crystal ball to see what the College Football Playoff matchups will be.

Keep in mind some bowls aren’t planning on having a game this year, so it culls the field a wee bit for the lower end, lesser money-making bowl games.

Also, remember these scenarios are very complicated with basically all teams eligible this year because of the coronavirus pandemic. There are also agreements with bowls to not repeat the same program over a certain time-frame if at all possible that may or may not pertain this season.

So, on that note, here are all the predictions and projections of where things stand with the Big Ten and CFP after Week 6. As a side note, the New Era Pinstripe Bowl announced last week that it will not have its game, taking a spot for the Big Ten away.
